music update

Larry Bernstein, classmate and DJ for our reunion weekend, has updated the music portion of the class website with results of the “our favorites” poll. Check it out.

greetings, news, and memories

These notes come from some classmates who will not be able to join us:

Bob (Robie) Hackney (FL): I regret that I will not be able to attend. I am starting what could be my second retirement job with the Water Bus and will not be able to take off that weekend (which is the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show). I retired the first time when I came to Fort Lauderdale in 1979 on my boat and have been working with an industrial water filter company since then. Just living in Florida is like being retired, even if I work to stay that way. I have had my Captain’s license since 1988, and have had many part-time professional experiences since then. Now I am preparing for another chapter in my work retirement as a full-time Boat Captain. Again, sorry I will not be able attend the reunion. I wish all the best.

Neil Kessler ( Richmond ): I will be out of town for something I committed to do before the dates of the reunion were set. However, I did want to know whether any of our classmates ever found out who the headless conductor in West Point was. I will miss seeing everyone, but I suggest that we set the dates for our 50th

reunion now so we will be able to clear our

calendars. The committee has been doing a fabulous job and I regret not being able to see everyone

Olga Luciw Hryndig  ( Richmond ): SORRY gals & guys that I will be missing a GREAT PARTY.  Wish I were there. Just have a couple of drinks for me. Hope to see you at the next reunion.

Markus Barth: I bought my plane tickets, all set to send in my registration, looking forward to seeing old friends (literally), but I made it into the Mercedes Regional Championship. I won the C flight category for Princeton , NJ . I shoot in the high 80's, low 90's, so I will never make it to the Senior tour, and I will keep my day job. I had to choose between Pinehurst (and Maui in January if I win), so hopefully, I'll see everyone at the 50th reunion.

Dick Jenkins ( Chesterfield ): Did Clarke and I spend most of our life in the backfield? Junior Stunt Nite – exactly what were we doing? Were the Cheerleaders as depressed as we were during football? I will miss all of you at the reunion. I have a horse going for a National Championship in Albuquerque and will be gone for a week. I’m going to try to get Clarke on his cell Sat night (if early enough). Wish I did not have the conflict.

let us know

It’s not too late to send your memories, news, or greetings to forty65@hotmail.com. And it’s not too late to register, either. Won’t you join the 135 classmates who’ll be attending? We look forward to seeing you soon!
